Swim Week Colombo returns with a brand new global positioning. This year's show will centre around the theme 'Green Conscious and Earth Sensitive' and will bring attention to ethical and sustainable fashion. 

As Swim Week Colombo 2018 kicks off, the 'Trend Swim' seminar will return once more on the 1st of July 2017 at Hilton Colombo from 10:00AM to 12:30PM. 

Trend Swim is a series of talk sessions with industry experts speaking on numerous topics central to the theme. This year's seminar is broken into three sessions centred on various areas of fashion. 

The first session will focus on Global Swimwear. The panel of 3 will consist of Heidi Gosman, Co-Founder of luxury swimwear brand Heidi Klein, Eric Koby, CEO of Heidi Klein and Dharshi De Livera, designer of Buddhi Batiks. Together they would tackle topics such as consumer behaviour, market direction and trends in the market. 

The second session will bring attention to Good and Sustainable Fashion. The panel will consist of Ajai Vir Singh, President and Founder of CFW and designer of ethical brand Conscience, Sarinda Unamboowe, CEO and Managing Director at MAS Kreeda, David Abraham, Creative Director at Abraham and Thakore, Shiranee E. Yasaratne, Advisor to Biodiversity Sri Lanka and Anoma Wijewardena, an artist. This panel of five would elaborate about building an earth conscious future, discuss about sustainability practices and touch on industry perspectives in line with the Green Conscious and Earth Sensitive theme. 

The final session will emphasise on Textile Forum by industry experts such as Yusuf Saleem, CEO at Trischel Fabrics (Pvt) Ltd and Kireety M, Head of Business Development and Material Innovation at MAS Holdings. Together they will deliberate on fabric direction and technology. 

The sessions will once again be artfully moderated by the lively Mihirini de Zoysa, Managing Director of Corporate Druids.
