The Spinoff Finals are taking place this Saturday! The Spinoff’s will feature 8 upcoming DJ’s fighting for their chance at the finals! 

So who can you catch this Saturday? Here’s a sneak peek! 

Commercial DJs 

DJ Shehan 

DJ Shehan hails from Negombo and runs his own business named SKY Entertainment. Starting off his DJ aspirations at the age of 16, he has performed at night clubs as well as famous events such as South Asia's biggest beach party - Hikka Fest 2011. 

Glitch 

Glitch started his career in 2008 and has worked with many famous local DJ’s and entertainment companies. He enjoys listening to and working with Hip Hop, Rn’B, Tropical House, Twerk, Moombahton Deep and Commercial House. 

Lakshan 

Lakshan is currently a mobile DJ, and started spinning back in 2011 and has never looked back since. He is interested in a wide genre of musical styles but shows special preference to Old School Hip Hop, RnB, House and Electronic Dance Music. 

Neco 

Neco cites Jazzy Jeff as one of his DJ inspirations and has been a winner of many DJ competitions on a national level. A self-proclaimed Bedroom DJ, he loves the genres of Hip Hop, R&B, Retro, Old School tracks and much more.

Electronic DJs 

Nidge 

Nidge started as bedroom DJ and has been playing for his friends. He enjoys listening to classic rock and electronic music and has been producing his own music. He is currently in the process of learning to play a live set with only original music which he plans on doing for the Spinoff Rounds. 

NJ 

NJ started DJ-ing back in 2010 and has played at many events that range from house gigs to underground parties and other events. He is currently editing and producing his own mixes and enjoys playing Minimal, Techno, Tech House and Deep House. 

Pubudu 

Pubudu is a past student of Mahanama College and has been spinning for 3 years since 2013. A fan of the music produced by Hot Since 82, Duke Dumont, Asvajit and Mattias, he prefers the sounds of Tech House in his mixes. 

Wasu 

Wasu began his DJ career early on when his interest was supported by one of his close friends. He credits this friend for introducing him to the genre and for helping him get this far. He enjoys the sounds of Electronic. Deep House, Tech House, EDM, Trance and Minimal.
