After months of heated competition, the finalists are about to battle it out for one last time for the coveted title as the winner of TNL Onstage 2016. 

So who made it to the finals? 

Here are your finalists for TNL Onstage Season 16.

Band Category 

V3 

You can never go wrong with guitars and drums. Dabbling in rock, reggae and the blues, the trio have been jamming for some time now, as evidenced by their effortless teamwork. 

Farenheight 

Having met up in school, Farenheight is all about alternative, punk and pop.  Having performed at events and birthdays, this is not the first time in the spotlight for them. 

Scintillate 

Scintillate is an all-girl acapella group who perform Pop, Classical, Gospel, Classic Rock, Punk Rock, and Hip-Hop. Having won FIA in 2016, the girls are set to take the biggest win of all with their close harmony and beat boxing skills. 

Kingdom Life 

With 8 members, Kingdom Life identify themselves as an urban spiritual group who also loves Synth Rock and Rap. The band features 2 rappers and 4 vocalists along with drums, keyboard and guitars. 

South West Jam 

The 4 member band loves old school artists such as Pink Floyd and Steve Wonder along with John Mayer and Eric Clapton. They have also won NOISE and FIA 2016 in the band category.

Solo Category 

Thiysuri Ranatunga 

Having worked under several acclaimed voice trainers over the past 9 years, and even being a part of a Stigmata track, this 19 year old is all about power house vocals. 

Nigel Lord 

Beginning his musical journey in school, this is Nigel’s second time at TNL Onstage. He enjoys listening to and covering Pop, Slow Rock and Oldies. 

Harinee Weerasinghe 

She loves to sing any type of music and is also interested in playing a wide array of instruments. Pop, Indie and RnB are the mainstays of her musical tastes. 

Emmanuel Eze 

If it sounds awesome, he’ll love it, so genre doesn’t really apply to Emmanuelle who is also into EDM and considers music and singing to be a means of expressing his feelings in a creative way. 

Dilrukshan Perera 

Taking another stab in the TNL Onstage Solo category, Dilrukshan is no stranger to competition. He loves to sing and hopes to be recognized internationally and locally as an amazing musician. 

As if the talent isn’t already big enough, the finals of TNL  Onstage will also witness guest performances by Magic Box Mix-up, Stigmata and The Slipping Chairs along with the Season 15 winners Cosmogyral.

The finals of TNL Onstage 2016 will take place on September 3 at the Viharamahadevi Amphitheatre from 7pm onwards.
