Directed by Feroze Kamardeen, ‘Freddy Strikes Back’ is definitely a treat for comedy fans and for those who want to know a little more about what’s happening around you. Freddy will reveal his investigations one by one as he speaks about the unknown side of politics and certain politicians in Lanka. On an interesting note, Freddy will also talk about how religious concepts have been passed down generations.
The cast includes Dominic Kellar, Ifaaz Bin Jameel, Gehan Blok, Dino Corera and Daminda Wijayaratne who will speak about their own encounters in different settings. ‘Freddy' introduced the stand-up comedy concept to the local theatre landscape and which is slowly being absorbed by the audiences. Twisting its conventional norm, ‘Freddy' is a more realistic rendition of lifestyles in today's context. Occasional hints at popular government schools (especially girls' schools) are a common occurrence at ‘Freddy' performances and they could be or could not be known facts as well.
If you ever had a problem as to why there’s a larger Muslim community or why people don’t really respond even though there’s R.S.V.P on wedding cards, then you have to watch ‘Freddy Strikes Back’!
You will get answers to many of your questions and you will also be surprised to see how your own money is wasted by the politicians.
So sit back and get ready to feel it with Freddy!
