It has been a super 16 for TNL Onstage this year with new additions and a competition makeover! They introduced the Live Auditions which allowed more contestants to take a shot at qualifying for the Knockout Rounds which will determine their finalists for this year. As TNL Onstage kicks it into high gear with these Knockout Rounds, they take you behind the scenes in the band category and get you in the know with what to expect this Saturday from 6 explosive bands who are ready to take the top spot at the Finals.

V3

You can never go wrong with guitars and drums. V3, like their name, possess minimal band members and yet manage maximum impact with their unique song choices. Dabbling in rock, reggae and the blues, the trio have been jamming for some time now, as evidenced by their effortless teamwork.

Farenheight

Having met up in school (as most bands do) and getting more friends to join in their effort to “make a big change in the music industry”, Farenheight are interested in alternative, punk and pop. It’s not the bands’ first rodeo as they have performed at birthdays and other events.

Scintillate

Choir geeks assemble! Scintillate is an all-girl acapella group who perform Pop, Classical, Gospel, Classic Rock, Punk Rock, and Hip-Hop. Having won NOISE and FIA in 2016, the girls are set to take the biggest win of all with their close harmony and beat boxing skills.

Kingdom Life

The biggest band this year with a whopping 8 members, Kingdom Life identify themselves as an urban spiritual group who also loves Synth Rock and Rap. Having played at a few venues, the band features 2 rappers and 4 vocalists along with drums, keyboard and guitars.

Mainstream

Formed back in 2013 by a close group of friends who met in school, Mainstream cites rock and reggae as their preferred genres. At the Live Auditions, they were not afraid to take on some Imagine Dragons, (harmony included!) in their journey to the grand finale.

South West Jam

The second Peterite band to take the stage is South West Jam whose 4 members love old school artists such as Pink Floyd and Steve Wonder along with John Mayer and Eric Clapton. Having performed a ZZ Top track for the Live Auditions, their repertoire will be one to watch out for.

Catch these bands at the Knockout Round on the 6th of August at Which Way West from 7PM onwards and head on over to TNLOnstage.com or the official TNL Radio Facebook page for more information on the Knockout Rounds and upcoming events.
