Yomal has had a passion for cars ever since he can remember and now he has grown to be so enthusiastic about them that he designs them. Check out his hobby!
When did you start designing cars?
From what I could remember, I have been drawing cars ever since I was a child.
What made you want to?
Cars have always fascinated me so perhaps it was love at first sight.
What competitions have you entered? What were the results of them?
I was in Grade 8 (2004) when I first sent some blueprints to to Toyota, but my entry was not accepted due to country restrictions. In 2012 I won a scholarship for a Master's degree in Transportation Design in Italy sponsored by Ital Design. I did not have even a bachelors degree, but they made an exception for me. Admission was limited to only 30 students. However I missed the opportunity due to some issues and I regret it. Recently I did a concept Lancia for a contest held by local motors.
Where do you get your inspirations from?
I get inspired by nature, car designs from bygone eras and even fashion design.
What companies would you like to design for?
My designs have been remarked by companies like Toyota, Land Rover and Ford and recently even the former head of design of BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce, but it doesn't really matter as long as I get to sketch cars all day long as a profession.
Out of the designs you have done, which are your favourites?
The Lancia Concept I did is one of my personal favorites. Its masculine styling cues recieved good feedback from designers.
