Chitra Lane School for the Special Child and the Chitra Lane Children’s Resource Centre will be showcasing an exhibition and sale of beautiful arts and crafts made by the students on the 9th and 10th of November 2023, at the School gymnasium, 45/3, Chitra Lane, Colombo 5.

Staff and volunteers are working round the clock to put together masterpieces created by these special children over the past few months. 

The Exhibition will be inaugurated on Thursday 9th November at 10.00 a.m. and will remain open until 4.00 p.m. It will be continued on the 10th of November also from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. This would be a great opportunity especially for children from mainstream schools to get a firsthand understanding of the creativity and expressions of their peers with special needs. Events such as these promote integration and acceptance and bring about a greater richness and understanding to life. The exhibition is open to the public. From creative children’s art, hand embroidered purses and tote bags to legendary Chitra Lane patties and butter cakes will all be on sale.
