Beat the Monday Blues with Shopping, Food and Fun at the Bishop’s College Auditorium!
The Bishop’s College Past Pupils’ Association, together with the merry Class of 1993, are excited to announce a Pop-up Christmas bazaar after over two decades, which will be held on Monday, the 25th of November 2024, from 10 am until 10 pm, at the Bishop’s College Auditorium premises and Foyer. As the spirit of Christmas draws near, they look forward to ushering you into an old-styled world of traditional Christmas charms, ranging from the choicest gifts, bonbons ornaments, delightful trinkets, bottles and packaged foods, snacks, books, exotic fabrics, and clothes (for children and adults alike).
With over 60 vendors signed up, ranging from small home businesses (featuring many Bishopian entrepreneurs) to well-known brand names, visitors to the bazaar will be spoiled for choice. With FREE entrance for the public, and freshly made food and drinks available at reasonable prices throughout the day, be prepared to shop till you drop!
Meet Chief Guests, Hafsa Husain (Cake Factory), Dinali De Silva (Arienti) and Shivani Wedanayake (Chairperson Island Properties) three past pupils of Bishop’s College who will speak at 11 am about their different journeys as women in business, and hang stars on the purple and gold Christmas tree. Learn a new skill or hobby by dropping in at our flower arrangement demo and life-coaching stalls.
A DJ and an open mic, karaoke and request stall will be there to keep you humming and moving to the beat. A special kids’ zone run by the Class of 1993, featuring a bouncy castle, candy floss, face painting, magic balloons, and other delights for kids, will keep your little ones joyfully occupied. All the stalls will be well covered to ensure that the fun can go on no matter the weather. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely shopping fiesta in the morning, a hot office lunch, some entertainment for bored little ones on holiday, or a fun dinner meet-up with your friends, this pop-up bazaar is the place to be.
They look forward to welcoming you on Monday 25th November, at the Bishop’s College Auditorium, where the gates will be open from 10 to 10, and extra sparkly lights will be put out at night!
