Sean Kingston has bounced back "better than ever" following his near fatal jet-ski crash.
The 22-year-old singer - who spent three weeks in hospital following an accident in Miami Beach in May 2011, in which he suffered a shattered wrist, broken jaw and water inhalation - has made an "amazing" recovery and is excited about the future, according to his friend and American Music Awards (AMAs) red carpet co-host Kimberly Cole.
Speaking at The Wanted's AMAs after-party at Lure Hollywood nightclub - which was hosted by The Hollywood Agency and Us Weekly, Kimberly exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Sean is great, he's so amazing, such a great guy and so talented. He has a new single coming out and he's so amazing especially after such a hard year.
"He came back better than ever and he's such a teddy bear. He's so kind and generous and really protected me while we were working together , he's like a bodyguard. I cannot say enough good things about him."
Sean previously talked about overcoming the accident and said he believed his life was spared because his "work is not done".
He explained: "It's a blessing. It's definitely, you know ... God is great. I feel like I'm blessed, overcome a tragic situation. Definitely trauma and for me to still be here ... it's only God's work ... I think my work is not done. I think it was just like, you know, it wasn't my time yet."
