Lawyer says action icon Sylvester Stallone's son wasn't trying to take his own life, that Sage Stallone's Facebook page was active 17 hours before his body was found.

Action star Sylvester Stallone’s son Sage, found dead of an apparent overdose Friday, was planning to be married as soon as next weekend, a close family friend says.

Sage Moonblood Stallone was planning to wed his girlfriend in a lavish Las Vegas ceremony, his attorney and confidant George Braunstein told E! News.

Braunstein, who did not reveal the name of Sage Stallone’s fiancée,  also rebutted reports that Sage had been dead for several days before his body was discovered by a housekeeper.

“The last conversation I had with him he was telling me about how he was getting married, and he was planning on some kind of exciting costume wedding in Las Vegas,” Braunstein told E! News. “He was up and positive about everything.”

The upcoming nuptials and activity on the budding filmmaker’s Facebook page in the hours leading up to his death raise questions about whether he intended to kill himself and how long he was dead before he was discovered, in Braunstein’s view.

Sage Stallone had posted photos on Facebook just 17 hours before the housekeeper made a panicked 911 call to authorities, Braunstein told E! News.

Police officials believe an accidental overdose killed him. There was no suicide note left at the scene, but Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said prescription pill bottles were found in the room.

The L.A. county coroner’s office completed its autopsy on Sage Stallone on Sunday, TMZ reports. Results are due back in four to six weeks, TMZ said.

Sage was the first of two sons Stallone had with his first wife, Sasha Czack. He made his acting debut in 1990’s “Rocky V” and also appeared with his father in 1996’s “Daylight.”

Sylvester Stallone was at Comic-Con in San Diego promoting his new film “The Expendables 2” when he heard the news, and is reportedly devastated.

“Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man,” the elder Stallone’s rep told the Daily News. “His loss will be felt forever.”
