Miss Piggy is a fashion diva, alongside the likes of supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, said fashion experts who were invited to an exclusive party celebrating the launch of the new Muppets movie, "The Muppets".
Designers, models, bloggers, make-up artists and their entourage scoured the Soho Hotel in London recently (Friday, January 20) ahead of the film's premiere.
At nearly 40, the pig with the fierce attitude and wardrobe to match shows no signs of slowing down.
Designer Inacio Ribeiro of Clements Ribeiro called her a trailblazer: "I mean, she's been there, from the beginning, the original celebrity cartoon and she is the incarnation of fashion and glamour."
When asked whether she was a diva, he said: "Oh, total diva. That's why she can relate to fashion."
Miss Piggy is also the new face of Canadian cosmetics giant MAC, where her penchant for large and expressive eyes were translated into fake lashes, which are part of the diva's collection. This alongside black eyeliner and specially-created pink shimmer eye shadow is on sale now.
The Muppet was also the inspiration for shoe designer Jerome C. Rosseau, who made high heels with pink glitter for Piggy. It retails for approximately 600 U.S. Dollars.
20-year-old Aaron Frew, a male model who's the face of CK One Shock cologne and who's been featured in Vogue Homme Japan and i-D magazine, called Piggy a fashion powerhouse.
"The Muppets" movie is out in British cinemas on February 10.
