Justin Timberlake is wanted to star in a big screen version of 'Baywatch'. Producers of the Paramount motion picture are reportedly keen on signing up the 'Social Network' star to play one of the lead roles in the project.
According to Twitch Film, should Justin agree a deal to star in the movie - which Ivan Reitman, Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are all working on - then he will take on the role of a disgraced former Olympic swimmer who tries out for the Baywatch team of lifeguards.
The TV drama series follows the lives of a group of fictional Los Angeles County Lifeguards - who were played by David Hasselhoff (Mitch Buchannon), Pamela Anderson (C.J. Parker) and Carmen Electra (Lani McKenzie) - who patrol beaches in Los Angeles County, California.
The writers have already stated that the script will include roles for David and Pamela should they want to appear in the motion picture. 'Baywatch' originally ran on US TV network NBC from 1989 to 1990 and it was syndicated thereafter from 1991 to 2001, changing its name to 'Baywatch: Hawaii' from 1999-2001 after a large cast overhaul.
