What made you enter media? Like some people have generations of doctors in their families mine are in media. I grew up with it and can’t picture myself doing anything else. Proudly the 3rd generation
How is local media doing, with the cable invasion? Since the masses prefer local flavour we are safe.
What is one book everyone should read? CARL MULLER TRILOGY!!!!! You are sure to get some real local flavour once you read it. I LOVED IT!
What was your biggest challenge? Waking up in the morning!
What’s your least favourite mode of transportation? Why? Motor bikes. They are death traps.
How do you balance work, boyfriend and personal life – your tip? I don’t sit and think ‘Oh how am I going to balance work and life.’ It happens naturally and women have been doing it for decades because we are awesome like that!
Tell me something you have learnt from your legendry grandfather Gamini Fonseka? To keep grounded however much you go up in life.
Your school life? I was a rebel and am darn proud of it!
Tell me your most rewarding experience since you entered media? Completing Sihinaya which was the first reality talent show for the differently abled. It was a yearlong challenge but surely rewarding once we saw the look on the winners’ faces.
What's the best advice anyone has ever given you? Aiyo who ever remembers advice!
How do you react to a bad review? I happily convert it in to constructive criticism.
How do you react to bad gossip? I used to get upset in the beginning but I have had sooooo much false gossip said about me that I am now immune to it and it makes me laugh at how hilarious and creative our people are.
What are you the most thankful for? Every single thing I have and have achieved is a blessing and I am truly thankful to god for all that I have been given in life.
Describe your ideal romantic date? I don’t believe in fancy dates. Nothing can beat a gloomy day snuggled up on the couch with my partner by my side and a bowl of butter popcorn in my hand talking about absolute rubbish J ♥
If you were a spy what would your alias be? Invisible woman, so that I can spy on anyone I please at any time and no one will know.
If you could be a pair of jeans what style would you be? Boyfriend jeans because they are so chilled out and comfortable.
If you were elected mayor, what would be your first improvement, and why? I would ban people from burning rubbish in public places and in their home gardens. It pollutes the environment and deprives us of our most basic human right, FRESH AIR!
If you could bring one person back from heaven who would it be and why? My grandfather for sure, he died too soon. I wish he was around now; he would have been proud of what we have all achieved.

Sri Lankan Beauty Queens? |
They are surely improving from what it was a couple of years ago, but we are still to have a lady with beauty and brains like Rosy Senananyake. It has been 27 years since she was crowned and no one has managed come up to her standards yet.
|
Sri Lankan Film Industry? |
It’s not grand like it used to be but has a lot of potential when it comes to art films. We are yet to come across a good commercial film. The industry is surely booming but lacks exposure.
