What made you get in to the film industry? Unexpected opportunities.
Congratulations on the award you won at Raigam Tele’s. Tell me about that? Thanks Danu. I’m glad to have won the Most Popular Actor at Raigam Tele’s for the 2nd consecutive time. It’s indeed a pleasure to know that there’s a special place for me in people’s hearts. That’s a great feeling!!
How was it to act in “It’s a Matter of Love”? It was a new experience and was a pleasure working with veteran director/actor Mr. Roy de Silva.
What were your thoughts on the film when you went for the premiere? I was really excited about the movie and was wondering how the Sri Lankan audience would respond to it.
Who discovered you? My mother
What inspires you and why? Passion for acting. Because it lets you be in someone else’s shoes.
Do you believe in God? No
What do you want to change about you? Any change that makes me a better person.
Do you think you are happy with your life? Not always.
What is your favourite sport? Do you play or just watch? I like to play and watch Cricket and Badminton. Love to watch Tennis.
How healthy is the ART industry in Sri Lanka? There’s so much talent and potential out there. It’s a matter of utilising it properly towards making quality productions. However there are so many avenues which need improvement in making the industry healthier and stable.
How are you at home? Free like a bird.
How was your experience acting in an ENGLISH MOVIE in Sri Lanka? Since English movies are very rare in Sri Lanka, it was a very different experience acting in it. Also I consider it as a good opportunity as a Sri Lankan actor.
How was it to co-star with Anarkalli? It’s my first time sharing the silver screen with her. She’s a supportive co-star.
How has the response been for the film? Not bad… it’s doing well… better than expected.

If you could predict the future, what would you do with that knowledge? I would save the world.
