Why suits? Because it’s the most complicated structured clothing which can be personalised
What was the thinking behind the name Kitto? Raw silk is one of the main fabrics we use for clothing. KIITO means raw silk thread in Japanese. So I have a meaning behind my brand.
What is Kitto’s target market? Hi-End business suits. At KIITO Bespoke, we go beyond the scope of traditional tailoring by offering one-on-one image consultation services.
What’s on the shelf for “Kitto” in the near future? First ever casual jacket collection in handlooms.

What were your life changing moments? The decision I made to apprentice as a tailor.

Any celebrities you have dressed, and who is your favourite wearing your design? Hmmmm I can start with the De Lanerolle Brothers , former Miss Sri Lanka Gamya Wijedasa, Darshi Keerthisena. I recently cut a blazer for Darshi and it looked so amazing on her.
What is your favourite outfit to wear? Linen trouser with turn-ups
How important is it to own a good suit? Your wardrobe is a huge component of what makes the first impression. It's your image. In the business world that image can mean the difference between gaining the competitive edge or yielding to the competition.
